In 2013, Sycamore Education introduced one of our most popular features to date: a Parent/Teacher Conference Scheduler. The scheduler was met with rave reviews but it also initiated some creative thinking by our customers. What other processes have always been done via paper sign-up that could also be automated? Many of our schools suggested a wonderful solution for the next addition to our online student management system: Volunteer Management.
We have to agree! It would be great to allow parents to sign up online to be a chaperone, bring treats, or bake a cake for the annual Cake Walk fundraiser. Over the holidays, our development team worked hard to release this innovative tool to our schools so it would be ready for you when you came back from break.
Our customers can now find Volunteer Manager within their site under Specialties on the menu. This feature will allow you to request volunteers on a per school basis or individual classroom teachers can request volunteers to assist in classroom-based activities such as field trips, celebrations, or other events.
